About
Neo is currently a Lecturer in the University of Zululand’s Department of Anthropology and Development Studies, lecturing in Development Studies. He joined the department in early 2018. Neo has worked as a tutor and a senior tutor with all undergraduate levels. He also lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Neo also has a background in designing and conducting research in the private sector, focusing on youth development, health, and other areas. He teaches courses on development theory, and development planning and management. Moreover, he supervises at the postgraduate levels, where he has also published accredited research outputs with students. Moreover, he is the Departmental Research and Library Committee representative. Neo has played roles in departmental administration and conference scientific committee coordinator, amongst others. Neo is currently involved in an interdisciplinary Community Engagement seeking to promote potable water provision and is engaged in several research projects under the broad umbrellas of Afrocentricity and Decoloniality.
