About
Dr Mpilo Siphamandla Mthembu is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Studies (DIS) within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) at the University of Zululand. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master’s in Information Science, and a Bachelor of Library and Information Science, all from the University of Zululand. Dr Mthembu is an active participant in academic conferences and workshops and has published several research papers and book chapters in esteemed journals. He serves as a reviewer for MOUSAION: South African Journal of Information Studies and has also reviewed research articles and book chapters for the South African Journal of Libraries and Information Science, Springer, and IGI Global. In addition to his teaching duties, he supervises and co-supervises postgraduate students at the Honours, Master’s, and PhD levels. He also holds roles as the postgraduate coordinator, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) coordinator, and tutor coordinator.
