About
Jaco du Plessis is a South African (SA) lecturer at the University of Zululand’s (UNIZULU) Department of English. He holds a master’s degree in English from North-West University (NWU). His research explores literary representations of the Lebenswelt as fictional worlds. He has founded and directed two different community projects focussed on creating various platforms and opportunities for local artists, and has a body of creative outputs, including music recordings and lyrics, poems, and short stories under the pseudonym “Frankie Bielfeld”. This work has been featured in various publications, including Ons Klyntji, Kalahari Review, Laurel Magazine, and Poetry Potion
