About
Dr Sheetal Bhoola is a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She also serves as a visiting lecturer at Vidyasagar College for Women in Kolkata, India (2024-2026) and is the current Secretary of the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee on Participation, Organisational Democracy, and Self-Management.
She holds two Master of Arts degrees in Sociology, one of which was a co-badged qualification completed through a collaboration among three institutions: the University of Albert Ludwigs in Freiburg, Germany, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in Durban, South Africa. She obtained her PhD in Sociology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
