About
Nkanyiso Mbatha joined the Department of Geography at the University of Zululand in 2016. He has interests in atmospheric chemistry and physics. He teaches physical geography modules from first year to Honours level. These modules are SGES111: Introduction to physical and environmental geography, SGES222: Hydrometeorology, SGES321: Atmospheric processes and pollution, SGES341: Climate dynamics, weather variability and prediction and also SGES502: Applied climatology. Nkanyiso also work with the Clean Air Association of Richards Bay in the analysis of pollution data.
Research Interests
Nkanyiso’ s research activities cover the area atmospheric physics and chemistry. He is currently collaborating with researchers from various universities such as University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Venda and University of Reunion Island, France. There is a number of Honours and Masters students who are working under his supervision.
