Mfaniseni Wiseman Mbatha (PhD) is a lecturer at the Department of Anthropology and Development Studies at the University of Zululand. His research interests revolve around agricultural development (focusing on subsistence, small-scale and commercial farming as livelihood strategies), rural development, climate change, Community Engagement, Sustainable Livelihood Approaches, Governance and Democracy.
