About

Professor Naidoo is the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation, and Internationalisation at the University of Zululand’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Communication Science, along with other degrees and a postgraduate diploma in Higher Education. Previously, as Head of Department, he played a pivotal role in developing several programmes and securing their accreditation.

Prof. Naidoo is an active member of various university committees and teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He is also a Chartered Public Relations Practitioner and is a member of the Professional Board of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA) and served as regional chairperson in the Zululand region.

His research interests include digital communication, the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and strategic public relations. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters and has successfully supervised several master’s and doctoral students. He also serves on many scientific committees and editorial boards.

Prof. Naidoo is dedicated to supporting postgraduate students and academic staff through workshops, seminars, writing retreats, and conferences. He regularly delivers keynote addresses at international conferences and is passionate about fostering research collaborations with academics worldwide. These collaborations have been formalised through active Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), further advancing research and teaching initiatives.
