Prof. Allucia Lulu Shokane (nee’ Nkosi) is the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zululand, where she was previously the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation and Internationalisation. Lulu is a Professor of Social Work. She holds a doctoral degree in Social Work from University of Johannesburg (UJ), South Africa. She was the Vice-President of the Association of South African Social Work Education Institutions (ASASWEI) between 2019-2021. Lulu was a regional Mentor for the National Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS) responsible for Kwa-Zulu Natal regional doctoral schools capacity initiatives. Lulu also serves as a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) Standing Committee on Humanities.
