Dr Pedro Mzileni is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Zululand and an Associate Editor of Inkanyiso: Journal of African Thought. His intellectual work centres on the Sociologies of Africa, Decolonial Theory, Global Higher Education Studies, and International History.
He contributes regularly to public scholarship, writing widely read columns for Pambazuka News Africa, Al Jazeera, and CounterCurrents International. Dr Mzileni also provides expert commentary on television, radio, and podcast platforms, including Al Qaheera News (Egypt) and SABC News International.
