About

Ms Noxolo N. Buthelezi is a lecturer in the Department of Information Studies, where she teaches Information Ethics, Information-Seeking Behaviour, Information Centres, Infopreneurship, Experiential Learning, and Knowledge Management. She holds a Master of Arts in Information Science, obtained with Merit in 2022, and is currently pursuing her PhD in the same field. Buthelezi has participated in six conferences, including LIASA conferences, the Annual Department of Information Studies conferences, WORIHSS, and the UNIZULU Teaching and Learning Conference. She has published an accredited journal article in Mousaion and, as a research associate, has supervised one honours student due to graduate in May 2025, as well as three undergraduate students on their research proposals. She currently supervises and co-supervises postgraduate students at honours and master’s levels. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she serves as the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) coordinator, Master’s coordinator, and Library Committee coordinator.
