About
Dr Mthabiseng Pertunia Ngwamba is a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology and Development Studies within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zululand. She serves on the Teaching and Learning Committee and is a member of the Faculty Board. At departmental level, she also serves as the Tutor Coordinator for undergraduate studies.
Since her appointment, Dr Ngwamba has supervised Honours and Master’s students and has externally examined postgraduate research. She has published in accredited scholarly journals, contributing to knowledge in her areas of expertise. Her research interests include global, community, and household food security. Her work focuses particularly on sustainable agriculture and food systems that better address local, regional, national, and global food security challenges, as well as rural development.
