About
Isabel Rawlins has a background in Creative Writing with an MA in the field from Rhodes University. Her main interest now is in ecocritical research and the ways in which literature represents human engagements with environments. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Western Cape with a focus on southern African desert literature. She has presented at conferences locally in South Africa and in Perth, Australia and Galway, Ireland. She has published several ecocritical articles on southern African literature.
