About
Dr Goodwill Mfundo Ntaka is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Creative Arts at the University of Zululand, having joined the institution in 2009. He served as Acting Head of the Department of Creative Arts from July 2016 to December 2018.
Dr Ntaka is a versatile musician who has performed and collaborated with several renowned South African artists, including the late Busi Mhlongo, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Lira, and the late Dr Sibongile Khumalo. He is also a music educator, musical arts researcher, saxophonist, and composer. Notably, he collaborated with Dr Buthelezi and Mr Marovatsanga in composing and recording the University of Zululand Anthem, My UNIZULU. He continues to work and record with several local artists.
