Doctor Erwin Samuel Henderson is a theologian and researcher. His doctoral thesis in theology is entitled “A Biblical Examination of an Ontological reading of Theology, in Trinity, in the [Christian] Believer and in Church” (USA 2019).
Over twenty-five years of academic pursuit in theology (B.D Hons, M.Th.) and on-the-ground working out the practical implications and challenges in the lives of Christians and churches have bound cohesively together theological understanding and demonstrable practice. He combines a strong exegetical understanding of God’s revelation and a profound comprehension of human existence, underpinned by his doctoral studies in psychology. This provides the foundation for his ontological theology construct, his major sphere of research in theological renewal. He is committed academically and theologically to the primacy of God, of the Christian and of the Church redefined as an ontological reality; pursuing the authentication of truths and values that transcend any one culture. His approach opens multi and inter-disciplinary dialogues between the philosophical and psychological on the one hand with the ontological and theological understanding on the other.
He has taught and mentored a breadth of biblical subjects internationally, in theological, leadership and Church training institutions in France, North Africa, Malawi, Benin, and Serbia, to undergraduate and graduate students, new aspiring and experienced leaders and ministers. He has authored in French and in English, and continues to pursue academic writing. Member of European Association of Biblical Studies (EABS) and GloPent Pentecostal-Charismatic Scholars Global Network.
